Ok….here is my honeybun testimony….
For the past few weeks I have been having it out with the vending machine…now I love honey buns and about 8-9 I go into the break room get a cup of coffee and hope for a honey bun and come back to me desk…or at least this is what I try to do.
But the vending machine does not always let me have the honey bun, I put in the right change, check the spindles to make sure it is not hung up…nothing except the machine beeping and saying make another selection….then I get the donuts, not what I wanted.
Why can I not get that honey bun…there is no reason for me not to get it, I have the right amount of money, the machine is not stuck and the honey bun is just looking at me….Each day I got back for the honey bun each day…why do I do that, sometimes I get it sometimes I get donuts
This morning I went to the break room to get the honey bun….. And I realized this….You do not always get what you ask for but you do get what you need…
The reason I go for the honey bun is because I have a hunger, the honey bun is sweet and I like it. Now the donuts are just as good, but I do not want them..
I ask my Lord for many things, and I always get an answer, it may not have been what I wanted, but it is always what I need.
This morning I was hungry, and the Lord met my need again…..I think I Love the Dounuts! Because it was with the donut I have learned…that the Lord fills my hunger and gives me all I need.
Yes…..I am full, the Lord has filled me with truth, and donuts.
Have a great day all of you!
Love, Deb
The Lord is so good to us all ....He has brought some beautiful souls weaved together in our small little church that I love, and He has always been there for me. He is the living Water, drink of it, be filled; of joy, love , and peace. May you give back what God has clearly given you , the free gift. May we continue to grow, learn , and love one another with the guiding of the Holy Spirit. May the world look upon us with wonder, and see that beacon of light in us that shines on and may the lost long for the LIGHT. May He gives the right words at the perfect season to lead that one soul to HIM....

"Threads" Defined posted by Amber

Imagine if you will, a group of Christians brought together in a church for reasons God is still showing them. Each is given a 36" piece of thread. Each thread is different in color representing the different gifts brought into the group. Each is strong and useful on it's own. 36" will sew on a couple of buttons, maybe hem one leg on a pair of pants. Very useful but there would be limits on what you could do. But what if you tied them all together? They would be even more useful with that much length. You could sew a whole pair of pants, or even a shirt. And then, what if you folded them all together and twisted them so tight they doubled up. Have you ever seen that? The photo in the banner up top is 8 strands of 36" thread, tied together and twisted until they doubled up. Looks like a rope now to me. And imagine all the usefulness of a rope compared to a single piece of thread.

That's what we are now, wonderful threads brought together by God to work for Him as a rope. Each of us is strong and gifted on our own but together we are a powerful force looking to add threads to God's rope.
